Product & Capability

What types of inspections and report does TerrAssist support?

TerrAssist currently supports two core form types used across capital construction projects: Field inspection form, and Construction foreman form

Beyond these standard forms, TerrAssist is fully customizable to match your existing workflows. We can configure the platform around any form your team already uses — including:

  • Job site safety analysis

  • Construction progress report

  • Pre-construction survey

  • As-built documentation

  • And more

If you have existing forms and templates, bring them to your onboarding session — we'll configure TerrAssist to match them exactly, so your team works within a familiar structure from day one.

How Accurate is the AI transcription - especially on a noisy job site?

TerrAssist's AI is trained on construction-specific language — including trade terminology, inspection vocabulary, and common site conditions — which makes it significantly more accurate than general-purpose voice tools in field environments.

In noisy or high-wind conditions, we recommend speaking directly into the device or using a Bluetooth headset. Every transcription is reviewable before a report is finalized, so your team always has the chance to catch and correct any errors before delivery.

Can we customize the report template to match our existing formats?

Yes. TerrAssist is built around your templates, not ours. During onboarding, your existing inspection and report formats are configured into the platform so that every output matches the structure your team and your clients already expect.

If you don't have standardized templates yet, we can help you build them during setup — drawing on construction-standard formats as a starting point.

Does TerrAssist work in areas with poor or no connectivity?

The TerrAssist iOS app is designed to work in low-connectivity environments. Field teams can capture voice notes, photos, and video offline — the data is stored locally on the device and automatically synced to the platform once connectivity is restored.

This means your construction field crew is never blocked from capturing observations, regardless of signal strength on site.

How easy is the app for field teams to learn and use?

TerrAssist is intentionally simple — the core workflow is three taps: open the app, select the report type, and start speaking. There are no complex menus or data entry screens for field crews to navigate.

Most field teams are fully comfortable with the capture workflow within their first shift. Formal onboarding typically takes less than 30 minutes per user, and we provide on-site support during your initial rollout if needed.

Integration & Data

Does TerrAssist integrate with HCSS?

HCSS integration is currently in active development and is a top priority on our roadmap. In the meantime, reports generated by TerrAssist can be exported in formats compatible with your existing HCSS workflows, minimizing manual re-entry.

If your team uses HCSS, we'd love to include you in our integration pilot — book a call to discuss early access.

What other PMIS platforms does TerrAssist connect with?

Our integration roadmap includes connections with the most widely used PMIS platforms in the construction industry:

Procore / Autodesk Construction Cloud / Oracle Primavera / e-Builder / And more.

HCSS is our first integration in active development, with Procore and Autodesk to follow. Our roadmap is driven by what our customers need most — if your team uses a specific platform not listed here, let us know and we'll factor it into our prioritization.

How does TerrAssist keep our project data secure?

All data captured through TerrAssist — voice notes, photos, videos, and generated reports — is encrypted in transit and at rest. Your project data is stored in a secure cloud environment and is never shared with third parties or used to train external AI models.

Access is role-based, meaning each team member only sees the data relevant to their project and responsibilities. For teams with specific compliance or data residency requirements, we offer additional controls — contact us to discuss your needs.

Who owns the data captured through TerrAssist?

You do. All project data — including captured field notes, photos, videos, and generated reports — belongs entirely to your organization. TerrAssist does not claim ownership of, or rights to, any content you create on the platform.

Your data is exportable at any time in standard formats, and we provide full data portability if you ever choose to leave the platform.

Onboarding & Support

How long does it take to get up and running?

Most teams are capturing and generating reports within their first week. A typical onboarding involves three steps: configuring your report templates (1–2 days), setting up user accounts and permissions (same day), and a short on-site or remote training session with your field team (under an hour).

We handle the technical setup — your team just needs to show up ready to start speaking.

What kind of support do you provide after onboarding?

Every TerrAssist customer has a dedicated point of contact during their pilot and early deployment. We provide ongoing support via email and chat, with response times typically under 4 business hours.

As we scale, we'll be introducing a self-serve help center and in-app guidance — but for now, you'll always have a real person to reach out to.

Pricing & Commitment

How does TerrAssist pricing work?

TerrAssist is priced per user per month, so you only pay for the seats your team actually uses. Plans are tiered based on team size and the features you need — from small field crews to multi-project enterprise deployments.

We're currently offering pilot pricing to early customers. Book a call to get a quote tailored to your team size and project volume.

Is there a free trial or pilot program available?

Yes. We offer a structured pilot program for new customers — typically a 30-day guided deployment on one active project. This gives your team enough time to experience the full workflow across a real inspection cycle, with hands-on support from our team throughout.

Pilots are available on a limited basis. Book a call to check availability and get started.

Are there long-term contracts or can we cancel anytime?

We offer both monthly and annual subscription options. Monthly plans offer maximum flexibility — cancel anytime with no penalty. Annual plans come with a discounted per-seat rate for teams ready to commit.

We don't believe in locking customers into contracts before they've seen the value — which is why we start with a pilot before recommending an annual commitment
